Hunting GPS Units

Garmin has done it again. Leading the industry in gps, they have come up with a handheld device that will track your hunting dogs in the field. It is called the Astro. Whether it's tall grass or dense cover there is no more worrying about where you are aiming, you get quick monitoring of your dogs position on the ground so you can follow them around. All you do is attach the DC 20 wireless transmitter to your dog with the wireless transmitter, go outside, and turn em loose. The GPS device also has a setting to alarm you when the dog is pointing.

Using several transmitters you can track up to ten dogs, and you can track them from as far as five miles away (depending on conditions). The system works best in flat open territory.

Using waypoints you can track where, when, and how many birds you found and took. The Astro is not just a Tracking GPS, it is a full feature GPS that includes a : barometric altimeter, microSD card slot, celestial information, area calculator, IPX7 waterproof exterior and a revolutionary 3-axis compass.
